Which Lightweight Double Pushchair Should You Buy?

These are the best for children who can sit up without assistance, as they aren't as likely to have car seat compatibility. Tandem
While side-byside models might be more suitable for siblings of the same age tandem pushchairs are light and lightweight, and offer their own perks. They can take a bigger car seat, and some come with reversible seats or an extra carrycot that is located in the middle. They are more spacious and are easier to get into and out of. However the baskets they use tend to be smaller than those found on single buggies. Many also feature more generously big canopies with windows that peek out, as well as one cup holder for the parent and cushioned leg cushions for the little ones.

Another option is a convertible double buggy which starts off as one-person, but you add adapters to turn it into a double. It can have the option of a second seat or carrycot in the front or the kids can be seated side-byside. Some have the option of including a buggyboard, which helps an older child keep pace with younger siblings or brothers.
